Who is Los Zetas Cartel?
“Los Zetas” is one of the brutal and considered the most powerful and bloodthirsty cartels in Mexico, who have earned their way up by mostly drug trafficking, extortion, kidnapping and money laundreing.
They managed to expand its illicit business outside the country to Europe and become a key territory for drug trafficking groups
In the year of 1977 - José Cortez was born and raised in Sinaloa to Maria and Alejandro Cortez, José had lost his mother after his birth due to excessive blood loss and Jonathan grew up with his father, who worked in three jobs so that he could give Jonathan the best life he could possibly.
José Cortez’s uncle was a firm solider at the Los Zetas Cartel. He was very respected in José’s block and there wasn’t a time when Diego wasn’t there for José, so José took a decision, he was going to take Diego’s route and would go to work with his Uncle.
At the age of 16 - José was already running his own corner back in South Sinaloa for the Los Zetas Cartel. Diego at the time was a very highly respected person at the Cartel and everyone was respected Jose since very young age.
Meanwhile Jose grew up with his uncle gangstar friends and learnt everything from them, how to talk, how to shoot a gun, how to hit on woman, everything, he became one of the guys by the end of 21.
A few months later, Jose went into prison for the first time in his life. The Sinaloa Cartel killed his uncle, Diego Gonzalez.
The El Jefe of the Cartel ordered a hit on the person who killed Diego and Jose took this position on himself. He talked with the Jefe and went for his kill. He managed to kill the person, but the police arrested him for recklessly driving back to his house. Luckily, he tosses the weapon right before he gets inside the vehicle.
At the age of 27 - Jose was released from the prison and the cartel’s El Jefe called Jose and his base and requested Jose to handle some new location and gain more income for the Cartel, and he chose Jose because he was very respected. The boss trusted his guts and Jose said Yes.
