59 AVALON GANGSTER CRIP #NoSlobsAllowed

DOWN WITH THE FUNCTION #NSA

The 59 Avalon Gangster Crip (STOB) is primarily an African-American criminal street gang founded in Southeast Los Santos during the 1970s. The gang’s initial conception was first known as the “Anaheim Crip” before the Avalon Gangster Crip came along. The 59th Avalon Crip were originally founded by around thirteen soccer players from Gregory McCaine High School, part of the Crip Alliance formed in 1969. The gang’s origin is known to be Preston Park, aka the Terror Dome.

Since its inception in 1975, this criminal street gang has been in conflict with numerous other gangs, earning it the reputation of being the most hated gang in Southeast Los Santos. The first conflict to erupt was in 1977, when the 59th Street Crip came into conflict with the Baby Insane Crips. Two members of the Baby Insane Crips attended a basketball game at Preston Park wearing their native colors and showing off their blue gang caps, Raymond Baldwin and Dwight Mitchell. Easily offended, three members of the 59th Street Crip confronted the Crips and asked if they knew where they were. Baldwin reacted aggressively and was asked to show respect for the sake of the basketball game. This eventually led Baldwin and Mitchell to act as if they were leaving the park and turn to open fire on the crowd, resulting in the death of Bernard Preston, a prominent member of the 59th Street Crip.

On January 5, 1978, Richard “Baby-Face” Sparks, Lovell “Spank” Saunders, Huey “Chunk-Em” Harris and Craig “Baby Chunk-Em” Harris were confronted by members of the Parkside Ganton Crips. During this visit, members of the Parkside Ganton Crips tried to influence the four members of the 59th Street Crip to sever their ties and join the Crips. This information reached Anthony “BK Tone” Briggs and Mitchell Price, members of the Avalon Gangster Crip. Once again, the four members of the 59th Street Crip were confronted, but this time by the Avalon Gangster Crip, who asked them for their decision as to whether they would switch to the Bloods or remain under the Crip Alliance, and it was decided that they would remain in the Crips. Mitchell Price informed them that they would have to promote the Gangster Crip label at home to receive support from the Avalon Gangster Crip, unless the Baby Insane were to invade their territory without their support. They refused on the grounds that “nobody will attack us”.
Given this, Mitchell Price and Anthony Briggs took two .22 Long Rifles and their mother’s Grand Prix and fired into the air at the 59th Street Crip affiliates with blue rags tied around their faces. Shortly after the mock attack, Price and Briggs were approached by Baby-Face and Chunk-Em with the news that they had been targeted by the Parkside Ganton Crips. Mitchell Price refused to help any of the members unless they decided to promote the Gangster Crip label, and with no chance, they bowed to pressure and lined up.
